Up & Out
So guess what, I just got out of bed. BY MY SELF! That's almost a whole week before I should be able to! I am super happy!
Hi Laura, So proud of you. I will tell you that in my experience children are much better patients than adults because you do not want to miss anything. I am proud of you for working through the pain and cramps; that can be very difficult and very limiting for your progress. I bet that when you stand upright, you will now be taller than me (that is not too hard for most people but a huge accomplishment for you!!!). We will be stopping by your house on the way home from Youth Group to drop off some dinner for tomorrow night.....please let Mom know. Love you, Lorraine
Laura, I'm so glad to hear you got up by yourself!! I knew you'd get there so quickly. Each day you're getting better. I know you'll be excited to have that hair fixed. Just wait, the hair nest will eventually all be gone. Just remember that braiding long hair is always better than having a hair nest. I bet you could write a story about the "little things" living in your hair nest?? You know like the story of "Horton and the Whos". Some of the best stories are stories of fiction and with your imagination it would be a great story. Love Debra Zoe and Maya
Laura, it's great to hear that you are doing so well. Sorry about the hair. When I was 10, I once went two weeks without brushing my hair, because I had chicken pox and brushing really hurt. Boy was that a mess to untangle once I was done being sick! Good luck. Hope you aren't too bored being stuck in bed so much. -- Dr. Sutherland (Katy's mom)
Wow! Very impressive Laura! No easy feat after back surgery. Determination seems to be the word of the day, hmmm? :) Sorry about the hair issue. Not fun. I couldn't even tell when we were there so if it makes it any better, the tangle isn't obvious. You and your mom will have it out soon which I know will make you feel much better. See ya soon! Love, Andrea and Issy
Congrats on getting up and out by yourself! I'm sorry to hear that your hair is knotted up, but I know that whatever you decide to do with it will be beautiful. :)

That's so cool. It must be great to be able to get up and around by yourself, congratulations!
